I JOHN ATHEY being feeble in body but of sound and dispossessing memory do make this last will and testament, that is to say

I give and bequeath to my sister PALINA TURNER two hundred and fifty dollars ($250)

I give and bequeath to my sister JANE HAMMILL one hundred dollars (4100)

I give and bequeath to my niece HANNAH ANN WEST seventy five dollars ($75)

I give and bequeath to my niece ELIZABETH HAMMILL seventy five dollars ($75)

I give and bequeath to my niece SUSAN PENN two hundred and fifty dollars ($250)

I give and bequeath to my niece CATHARINE MCCARTY two hundred dollars ($200)

I give and bequeath to my nephew WILLIAM HAISLIP my gold watch

I give and bequeath to my nephew WILLIAM HAMMILL the gold watch I now use

I give and bequeath to HUGH HAMMILL all the remainder of my property of every description and kind, and do hereby appoint him my Executor. In testimony thereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this 9^th day of February 1866

This last will and testament of John Athey deceased was presented to the court by Hugh Hammill the executor therein named, who made oath thereto according to law and being fully proved by the oaths of Basil Brawner and Milton A. Ish subscribing witnesses thereto is ordered to be recorded and the said Hugh Hammill having taken the oath of an executor, and entered into bond in the penalty of two thousand dollars with Basil Brawner and JOHN CL WEEDON who justified as to their sufficiency conditioned as the law directs letters testamentary of the personal estate of said deceased is granted to him in due form.

Prince William Gives Again of Her Youth That Democracy May be Safe -- Four Go to Charlottesville

The largest contingent of Prince William county young men to answer the call to colors for several months will leave for training on Saturday, May 25.  Nineteen of them will go direct to Camp Lee for military training and four left today for Charlottesville where they will enter the University of Virginia as volunteers and where they will receive mechanical training for military service.

CONSERVATIVE MEETING.—At a meeting held in Brentsville, Prince William county, Va., on Monday, January 6, 1868, C. W. C. Dunnington, Esq., was called to the Chair, and Dr. Carter Berkeley appointed Secretary.

The Chairman explained the object of the meeting to be to organize the Conservative party of the county, in accordance with the recommendation of the State Executive Committee.

On motion of Col. Nicol, the Chair appointed Messrs. Allen Howison, Lawrence Cole, Crawford Cushing, and John Hammill a committee to report suitable persons as committees of the four magisterial districts.

After consultation, the committee reported the following names, to wit:

Dist. No. 1 – Edwin Nelson and Dr. M. B. Weedon.

Dist. No. 2 – Dr. M. Ish and Colonel Basil Brawner.

Dist. No. 3 – F. A. Weedon and William Bryan.

Dist. No. 4 – Capt. J. E. Herrell, and Col. Edmund Berkeley.

On motion, it was, Resolved, That the committee have power to fill any vacancies which may occur in their body.  The proceedings were ordered to be published in the Alexandria Gazette and Richmond Enquirer.  The meeting then adjourned.
