NEW YEAR'S EVE DANCE

A New Year's Eve dance attended by a large company of young people was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. G. Raymond Ratcliffe, in Grant Avenue, with their young son, Master Jack Ratcliffe, as host.

Among the guests were Misses Nancy Waters, Anna Bruce Whitmore, Virginia Conner, Elizabeth Coleman, Susie Gibson, Wilhelmina Wenrich, Anne Davies and Dabney Waters, Hawes Davies, Jenkyn Davies, Ned Bradford, Ashby Rogers, Henry Lee Lewis, Charles Walton Lewis, Charles Armistead Sinclair, Wallace Lynn, Preston Lyon, Robert Morris Henry, Robert Weir and Beverly Adams.

ENJOYABLE REUNION

A most enjoyable and successful family reunion was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Wenrich on Grant Avenue last Sunday. The occasion was in honor of the happy young bridal couple, Mr. and Mrs. Charles C. Wenrich, who had returned home late Saturday evening from their interesting trip. A royal welcome awaited them and the Wenrich family again demonstrated their genuine Southern hospitality.

Those present were: Judge and Mrs. J. B. T. Thornton, Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Hibbs, Misses Kath and Margaret Hibbs, Master Franklin Hibbs, Mr. and Mrs. Wilson N. Wenrich and little daughter, Winnie, Misses May and Evelyn Wenrich, of Manassas; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Weber, Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Klep and Miss Holer, of Washington; Rev. J. K. Efird. of Saddle River, N.J.; Mr. Thomas Watkins, of Alexandria and Mrs. White, of The Plains.

MANASSAS, VA., December 18.--J. P. Leachman, treasurer of Prince William County, and his deputy, C. C. Leachman, will move their offices the first of the year from the National Bank Building to the office rooms in the M.I.C. Building, formerly occupied by Dr. R. E. Wine.

Dr. W. A. Newman yesterday entertained the members of the Medical Society of Prince William County at his residence on Main Street.

Miss Bessie Edmonds and Miss Katie Gilbrotzer, of Alexandria, were guests at the home of Mrs. L. E. Pope this week.

Mrs. Dennis O'Neil of Manassas recently visited her sister, Mrs. Sallie Armick at Barboursville. On Thursday night during the high wind the Armick home at that place was totally destroyed by fire, the family saving none of the household effects except clothing.

The Young Ladies' Bridge Club was entertained at the home of Miss Bessie Walker, on Main Street, to-day.

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Watkins of Alexandria spent the week-end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Wenrich.

Mrs. N. L. Turner, of The Plains, was the guest of her mother, Mrs. P. P Chapman, during the first of the week.

PRETTY MAY WEDDING

Mr. Walter F. Hibbs and Miss Wenrich Married at Manassas

MANASSAS, VA., May 20. -- A pretty wedding was solemnized at 10 o'clock this morning at the German Lutheran Church when Miss Mary Katie Ann Wenrich became the bride of Mr. Walter F. Hibbs, the Rev. Mr. Grossman officiating.  Mr. Remsberg presided at the piano and beautifully rendered the music for the occasion.

The church was prettily decorated with wild flowers and potted plants.

The ushers were:  O. D. Waters and Wilson Wenrich, brother to the bride.  Mr. J. Jenkyn Davies was best man, and Miss Bessie Goode, of Hagerstown, Md., maid of honor.

Mr. Hibbs and his best man were preceded to the altar by the ushers and followed by the bride with her maid.  The ceremony which is a pretty one was performed in a very impressing manner.

Mr. and Mrs. Hibbs left this morning for Reading, Pa., and after their return to Manassas they will be at home to their friends.
