Miss Vera V. Hughes of Coaburn and Robert C. Leachman, 150th Infantry, Camp Shelby, Miss., were married on New Years day in Hattiesburg, Miss. The bridegroom is a son of Charles C. Leachman of Manassas. 

The Manassas Good Housekeepers' Club met Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. R. J. Adamson. Mrs. S. G. Byrne entertained the Stone House Good Housekeepers' Club Wednesday afternoon. 

Miss Ada Kincheloe of Upperville, Fauquier county, has been the guest of Mrs. L. Frank Pattie. Christopher M. Newman of Bridgeport, Conn. and Mrs. Bessie Newman of Washington were recent visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Conner. 

Mr. and Mrs. Fontaine Hooff, whose marriage took place recently in Washington, have been visiting Mrs. Hooff's parents, Mr. and Mrs. George H. Smith. 

J. P. Leachman has returned from New Mexico and Cape Girardeau, Mo., where he visited his daughters, Mrs. David B. Smith and Mrs. Allen Laws Oliver. 

Wheatley M. Johnson and J. B. Johnson, jr., of Camp Lee recently visited their parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Johnson.

MRS. J. P. LEACHMAN DIES

Had Been an Invalid for Several Years - Funeral Thursday Afternoon

Mrs. Mary Virginia Leachman, wife of Mr. John Pendleton Leachman, died Tuesday morning at the family home near Bristow. She had been in failing health for several years.

The funeral took place Thursday afternoon at her late residence and interment was made in the family burying ground. The services were conducted by Rev. J. F. Burks, rector of Trinity Episcopal church, of which she was a member.

Mrs. Leachman was the daughter of the late George and Mildred Strother, of Markham. She was born 55 years ago, and was married at the age of 26 to Mr. Leachman, who is now the treasurer of Prince William county.

She leaves five daughters, Mrs. D. B. Smith and Mrs. Allen Laws Oliver, both of Cape Girardean, Mo., and Misses May, Lillian and Marie Leachman, all of Bristow; three sons, Mr. J. P. Leachman, Jr., of New Mexico, and William and Keith Leachman, of Bristow, a sister, Miss Kate Strother, and three brothers, Messrs. Thomas, James, and Edward Strother, all of Markham.

In the name of God Amen, I THOMAS OLIVER of the town of Dumfries and County of Prince William and State of Virginia being in imperfect health, but of sound mind and memory do make and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form following, after all my just debts are paid.  Imprimis I give and bequeath to HENRY PERRY all my property in Philadelphia one hundred pounds to be paid out of this Estate when he becomes of age.

2^nd.  I give fifty pounds to ADAM COOKE.

3^rd  I give to HARREY NOEL my negro girl named BETSY.

4^th  I give all the rest of my property real and personal to my wife RACHEL OLIVER.

I constitute and appoint my friends Mr. TIMOTHY BRUNDIGE and WILLOUGHBY TEBBS Executors to this my last will and testament this 25^th day of Febry 1746.

This last will and testament of THOMAS OLIVER was presented to the Court by TIMOTHY BRUNDIGE and WILLOUGHBY TEBBS the Executors therein named who renounced the burthen of the Execution thereof and the same being proved by the oaths of GEORGE GRAHAM, JOHN SPINCE, and JAMES ESPEZ the witnesses thereto it was ordered to be recorded.
